Q1. What is Malindo Miles?

Malindo Miles is a global frequent flyer programme of Batik Air which is launched to reward the members. There are 3 tiers of membership status according to the miles accrual – Silver, Gold and Platinum. Malindo Miles members will be given e-card membership which can be accessed through your mobile device anytime, anywhere.

Q3. How do I sign up as a Malindo Miles member?

You may sign up through malindomiles.com, Malindo mobile app or ticketing counter via QR code. You will receive an activation email followed by a welcome email with your membership details within 24 hours upon activation.

Q4. Do I have to live in Malaysia to join the Malindo Miles Programme?

Malindo Miles is a global frequent flyer programme and our members come from all over the world.

Q5. Is there any charges to register as a member?

Malindo Miles membership is FREE

Q6. Can I sign up Malindo Miles with a different name or nickname which is different from my travel documents?

For security and miles accrual purpose, it is COMPULSORY for Malindo Miles members to register with the exact name which matches with the name on travel documents such as passport and flight booking.

Q7. Will my membership expire?

No, Malindo Miles is a lifetime membership.

Q9. Will I receive a physical Malindo Miles membership card?

There will be no physical card, members can download an e-card from Malindo Miles website https://www.malindomiles.com

Q1. How do I access my Malindo Miles account after signing up as a member?

You may log in to your account via https://www.malindomiles.com or Batik Air mobile app to access your miles account details which include your personal profile, reward and earning histories. You will also receive a Malindo Miles monthly statement of account from us through your registered email.

Q2. How can I retrieve my Malindo Miles Frequent Flyer ID?

A unique 12 digit Frequent Flyer ID will be sent to you after you activate the account. You may also log in to your account via https://www.malindomiles.com or Batik Air mobile app to retrieve the Frequent Flyer ID.

Q3. What should I do if I forgot my Malindo Miles account login ID and password?

Go to https://www.malindomiles.com, enter your email address that you have registered with Malido Miles as log in ID and click “Forgot Password”. An OTP-a 6 digit confirmation code will be sent to your registered email to reset your password.

Q5. How can I download the digital Malindo Miles membership e-card?

You can download your Malindo Miles membership e-card via the Malindo Miles website by following these steps:

  • Log-in to your Malindo Miles account
  • Click on the “Download button” below the Membership Card.

Q6. What can I do with the Malindo Miles membership e-card?

Your Malindo Miles membership e-card works like a physical membership card. Present your membership e-card when you travel on Batik Air or at our partner outlet to enjoy the applicable membership privileges and benefits.

Q7. Can I have a membership account for myself and for my family at the same time?

Malindo Miles membership account is designed for an individual. However, under the newly introduced Friends & Family Programme, you may add up to 10 friends and family as nominees, click here to find out more < Friend & Family product page>

Q8.What are the features on my Malindo Miles membership e-card?

Your Malindo Miles membership e-card contains your membership information, including:-

  • Name
  • Malindo Miles Frequent Flyer number
  • Membership Tier

Q9. I want to change my registered email ID. What should I do?

Please email your request to mm_admin@batikair.com.my

Q10. Is the monthly statement of account available?

Yes, a monthly statement will be sent to your registered email address.

Q11. How to update my profile information?

For name amendment and email address change, please email your request to mm_admin@batikair.com.my with your IC/passport copy for verification purpose. For any other changes, please login into your account at https://www.malindomiles.com/inspirenetz/app/ . Upon successful login, hover your cursor over your account profile name and select My Profile. Click Edit Profile and update your information.


To add a nominee, kindly login into your account at https://www.malindomiles.com/inspirenetz/app/. Upon successful login, hover your cursor over your account profile name and select My Profile. Click Edit Profile and select Friend & Family to add your nominees’ information.

Q1. How do I book my flight as Malindo Miles Member?

You may log in to https://www.malindomiles.com/inspirenetz/app/index.html or Malindo Mobile App with your log in credentials and start your flight booking. You can choose to redeem your flights with miles accrual or miles plus cash or card payment.

Q2. I booked a flight using Malindo Miles or cash plus Malindo Miles? Can I still do a web check-in?

Yes, you can do a web check-in and standard web check-in terms and conditions apply. Visit malindoair.com to find out more about our current web check-in term and conditions.

Q3. Can I upgrade my seat using Malindo Miles?

Current privileges of using miles accrual to seat upgrade is not available

Q4. I want to cancel an award flight. What should I do?

Please refers to Flight Cancellation Terms and Condition on malindoair.com

Q5. I want to reschedule an award flight. What should I do?

Please contact our Customer Care Centre at Whatsapp:+62 811-1938-0888 (chat only) Operating Hours: 9am - 6pm (GMT+8) or email your request to customer_care@malindoair.com to reschedule an award flight. Cancellation charges may apply subject to fare class during booking, the new flight will need to be settled by cash/card payment. Your miles used will be refunded to your account.

Q6. Can I use my miles to pay for taxes and airport charges?

No, miles accrual only used for the redemption of flight on base fares. All taxes and airport charges need to be settled in credit card payment.

Q7. Can I buy Malindo Miles if I do not have enough for an award ticket or a flight upgrade?

Malindo Miles is a frequent flyers program which you can top up with cash/card payment if you do not have enough miles upon flight redemption. The base fare of the award ticket will be offset with the amount of Miles that you wish to redeem and the balance can be paid with credit card.

Q1. How do I earn Malindo Miles?

  • Miles can be earned by flying with Batik Air and it is based on the earnings mechanic of different fare classes. Note miles earning exclude the payment of taxes and services charges. Should your purchase entitled for miles accrual, miles will be credited to your account within fourteen (14) working days after your departure date
  • Miles can be accrued via our partner point’s conversion program, please refer to our premium partner’s page. T&C apply.

Q2. How do I redeem my miles?

Please follow the steps below:

  • Visit https://www.malindomiles.com and sign in to your account.
  • After login, click on the menu item “Book a Flight” to book a flight. Select the destination you would like to redeem
  • Move the slider option on your screen to utilise your miles as desired for a partial or full redemption of the base fare.

Q3. How do I redeem my desire flights if I do not have enough miles?

Malindo Miles is a frequent flyers program which you can top up with cash if you do not have enough miles upon flight redemption. The base fare of the award ticket will be offset with the amount of Miles that you wish to redeem and the balance can be paid with cash/card payment.

Q4. Do I earn miles if I’m paying my flight partly redemption and partly cash/card payment?

Yes, except that you will earn miles for the cash/card payment portion of your payment while you will not earn miles for the redeemed miles part if your payment.

Q5. How do I know if my miles are going to expire?

All accumulated miles should expire in 36 months from the date of miles being credited to the miles account. You may login to Malindo Miles to view your miles expiry. You will also receive a monthly Statement of Account (SOA).

Q6. Will I earn Malindo Miles when I travel on an award ticket?

Should the award ticket be fully redeemed with Miles, then you will not accrue Miles for that flight. If your ticket is a partial redemption of Miles, you will earn Miles for the cash/card payment portion of your ticket.

Q7. How do I ensure that Malindo Miles are credited into my account?

Always log in with your miles id before flight booking on malindoair.com and malindomiles.com or when you want to spend and earn from our premium partner. Make sure the name of your flight booking matches with the registered name on Malindo Miles for the system to capture the miles accrual after your flown date.

Q8. I have just applied for the Malindo Miles Frequent Flyer membership today. Can I accrue Miles for my past flights?

Miles accrual only starts from your registration date onwards.

Q9. Can I accrue Miles on behalf of my friends and family?

Yes, under the newly introduced Friends & Family Programme you may add up to 10 friends and family as nominees and you are allowed to accrue and redeem Miles on their behalf. Please refer to malindomiles.com

Q10. Can I transfer my miles to my friends and family?

No, however, we plan to enable this feature in the near future for your travel pleasure

Q11. Can I inherit Miles from a deceased family member?

In the event of a Malindo Miles member’s death, the Malindo Miles account will be closed.

Q12. What should I do if my miles are missing?

Log in as miles member on malindomiles.com with your registered email ID and passwords. Choose the function of Service Request under your profile name and raise the request to us by entering the travel date, PNR and name. Do take note, you won’t be able to reclaim miles after the flown date.

Q13. My ticket was purchased from a travel agent. Can I still earn miles on Malindoair.com?

You will be able to earn miles as long as you provide your Malindo Miles membership number to your travel agent and the travel agent uses the number in your booking. Alternatively, you may also enter your Malindo Miles membership number at the time of your check-in, both web check-in as well as at the check-in counter.

Q14. My ticket was purchased from an online travel agent. Can I still earn miles on Malindoair.com?

Yes, any Batik Air flight booking made by miles member with online travel agents are entitled to miles earning provided: - the passenger name of the flight booking match with the registered name on Malindo Miles. - you have booked Batik Air for return trip instead of single trip which disable the miles accrual

Q15. Can i retro claim my miles for flights travelled ?

No, effective from 1 June 2024, you will not be able to retro claim miles after your flown date.

Q16. Are all booking classes entitled for miles accrual?

Yes all fare classes eligible for miles accrual, except Super Saver. Check out the earning mechanic

Q17. If miles did not credit into miles account, how do I claim the missing Malindo Miles?

Yes, please raise a Service Request (SR) within fourteen (14) days after your travel date. The Service Request function is available below the “Recent Transactions” section in Malindo Mileswebsite. To claim your missing miles, please provide your travel date, PNR and name as per your ticket.

Q18. Why miles I have just earned not reflected in my account?

Common reasons of miles was not reflected on Malindo Miles account:

  • The name of miles member on flight booking mismatch with Malindo Miles registered name
  • Did not log in with Malindo Miles member ID before flight booking or upon flight check-in
  • When you book your trip on OTA using different airline service in a return trip
  • Miles will only be credited to your account 4 days after the date you have completed the trip

Q19. Can I earn and redeem Malindo Miles on other partner airlines?

No, however, we plan to enable this feature in the near future for your travel pleasure

Q20. Can I earn miles if I book flight for my family members or friend?

All miles will be credited to respective Malindo Miles Member’s Account.

Q1. How do I convert point earned from Malindo Miles premium partners to Malindo Miles?

You can convert your points earned from Malindo Miles premium partner to Malindo Miles by referring to the points conversion mechanism and terms and condition set by our partners. Click here https://www.malindomiles.com/inspirenetz/app/ and refer to the Premium Partner Session and start converting your points to miles.

Q2. How do I know the points conversion from Malindo Miles premium partner is successful?
How long after I make a redemption will it take for my points/miles to appear on my balance?

You may log in to Malindo Miles account to check about the conversion status. You can see the miles credited into your miles account reflected in Malindo Miles Balance or in Transaction History. Different partners have different lengths of time in processing the point conversion into miles.


Processing time for redemption requests will vary based on the partners. You may view the respective partner page on malindomiles.com for further details. Once your points are credited, you can view these Malindo Miles under Malindo Miles Balance or under Transaction History. Should there be any campaigns/promotions which allow you to earn additional miles, please refer to the Terms and Conditions of that campaign/promotion for fulfilment details.

Q3. Can I convert my Malindo Miles to partner points?

No, it is not available at this moment.

Q4. Can I reverse my converted Malindo Miles back to Partner Points?

No, it is not available at this moment.

a) Batik Air reserves the right to modify the Malindo Miles Programme benefits and other features, including Terms and Conditions at our sole discretion without prior notice. Although Batik Air will use reasonable efforts to notify members of material changes to the Malindo Miles Programme, it is the responsibility of the members to keep themselves up to date. Any use of the Batik Air programme by a member will be deemed as acceptance of any amendment.

b) If the number of Malindo Miles credit to the members’ accounts is incorrect, members should inform Malindo Miles team within three (3) months of receiving their statement. Transfer of Malindo Miles to another partner programme is not permitted.

c) Batik Air shall not be liable for any delay in crediting of Malindo Miles to members’ accounts for any reason whatsoever, including but not limited to technical faults, and inaccurate information submited by members.

d) Members must report any suspected unauthorised award claims from Malindo Miles accounts within three (3) months of the unauthorised transaction activity for any corrective action to be possible.

e) Batik Air reserves the right to suspend or terminate membership in the Malindo Miles programme, at any time with or without prior notice, even though termination may affect the member's right to accrue Malindo Miles or redeem Malindo Miles for awards. Malindo Airis not liable to members for any loss of value or benefits that may arise as a result of any changes made to the programme. In particular, occurrence of any of the following events may cause suspension or termination:

  • In the sole opinion of Batik Air, the member has misbehaved on any flight or at any airline premises or at any airport. Misbehaviour includes but is not limited to verbal or physical abuse of an airline employee or airline agent or a passenger, destruction or damage to property on any aircraft or at airline premises, or at any airport.
  • The member has contravened any term or rule of membership of the Malindo Miles Programme.
  • In the sole and exclusive opinion of Batik Air, the member has acted dishonestly or in any manner that is unacceptable to Batik Air in relation to his/her membership.

f) A member may terminate the Malindo Miles Membership at any time by giving written notice. Upon receipt of the notification, any outstanding Malindo miles, status credits, rewards, benefits and privileges will be forfeited without compensation and cannot be transferred.
